We are pleased to announce that Radioprotection has successfully transitioned from the MMS submission system to NESTOR (New Editorial System Tool for Research), an editorial platform developed in-house by EDP Sciences to meet the evolving needs of the scientific publishing community.
This change reflects our ongoing commitment to improving the author and reviewer experience while maintaining the highest standards of editorial and publishing quality. NESTOR offers a more streamlined, secure, and user-friendly interface designed to support the full publishing workflow, from submission through to publication.
Radioprotection is an international, peer-reviewed journal published under the auspices of the Société Française de Radioprotection(SFRP). The journal publishes cutting-edge research in Radiation Protection and Radiological Protection under the Subscribe-To-Open (S2O) model. S2O is an open access model supported by institutional subscriptions, it allows researchers to read and publish at no cost, making access to this research truly equitable. The adoption of NESTOR is intended to further enhance the journal’s service to its community of authors, reviewers, and editors.
Key benefits of the NESTOR platform include:
- Unrestricted file size for submissions
- Integrated LaTeX support with automatic metadata extraction
- Secure login and access management
- ORCID integration for simplified sign-in and author identification
- Configurable workflows tailored to article types and review requirements
- Advanced referee and co-author management tools
- Unified, intuitive interface for the entire editorial process
- Enhanced search functions and accessibility features
- Scalability to support increasing submission volumes
- Robust data storage and transparency throughout peer review
- Integrated plagiarism detection via Similarity Check (Crossref), supporting high standards of research integrity
Comprehensive user guides are available, and the editorial team is on hand to assist with any queries. All user and manuscript data from MMS has been securely migrated to ensure a seamless transition.
