Mobility of Chernobyl 137Cs in undisturbed soil: Analysis methods and techniques
Risoe National Laboratory, 4000 Roskilde, Denmark
The mobility of 137Cs in soil is an important factor governing doses received after a major nuclear accident as well as the effect of many countermeasures for mitigation. A set of simple procedures for the determination of factors influencing the soil 137Cs mobility have been suggested and described. A number of tests have been carried out on field samples to demonstrate the validity and reproducibility of the procedures.
